The Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis, by Hamidrasha at Oranim and Hartman Institute, ordains men and women of all different identiies to be Rabbis.
The curriculum is 3 years long, in which deep dives into classic Jewish and modern Hebrew literature are included, along with dealing with the many essential challenges that a Rabbi in Israel must face. Among other things, the Beit Midrash deals with conflict, faith and spirituality, prayer, life cycle events, Israeli Halacha, Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, and war and peace.
Alongside the theoretical studies, practical workshops that train the students to officiate life cycle ceremonies and develop rabbinical skills are being held.
